The Story

A leap of faith at 17 — from a sleepy town in the Himalayas to the heart of Southeast Asia.

I grew up in Dehradun, a tranquil city nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas. At 17, I made a decisive move to Singapore to pursue my undergraduate studies at the National University of Singapore (NUS).

College wasn't just about coursework — it was about forming connections that challenged my worldview, gaining experiences that tested my convictions, and developing intellectual rigor that would define my professional path.

Today, I work in financial restructuring at Deloitte, where I advise large conglomerates navigating financial distress. I help them modify existing debt structures to conserve cashflow and preserve operations — work that sits at the intersection of finance, strategy, and human judgment.

Ways of Thinking

I

Worldly Wisdom

Charlie Munger's idea of a latticework of mental models resonates deeply. I'm on a never-ending quest to understand how things work — across disciplines, industries, and cultures. The toolbox expands with every book, conversation, and deal.

II

Zero to One

I'm fascinated by business stories and the value creation process. What makes something go from nothing to something? What makes a company truly defensible? These are the questions that keep me reading at midnight.

III

Contrarian Clarity

The most valuable insights often contradict prevailing wisdom. I seek to form independent views — tested by evidence, sharpened through debate, and held with conviction but without rigidity.
